Away from the cobbles of Weatherfield, Michael keeps his private life just that, but has been with soon-to-be wife Louise Gibbons from 2014.

Louise has remained a key source of support for the actor through periods in his life that included checking into a rehab facility in 2014, and in 2017 the couple got engaged.

The pair are now set to get married on Saturday (May 30) in an intimate ceremony. The day before they say their vows, Michael was spotted enjoying the sunshine ahead of his big day.

Sporting a relaxed look with a black t-shirt and beige shorts, Michael was seen enjoying a few pints with some friends outside of the The Brook pub in Sale, Greater Manchester.

He was pictured with his legs up relaxing while taking a phone call, before giving the photographers a thumbs up as he left in the passenger seat of a car, after walking away from the pub with a gift bag in hand.

Michael and Louise do not have any children together, but Michael who was previously married for 25 years to actress Janette Beverley share two children.
