EastEnders reveals major Suki and Eve development in advanced spoilers

EastEnders has teased an important moment ahead for Eve and Suki Panesar-Unwin as the couple’s adoption journey continues. The pair will be having their adoption hearing in scenes airing in the second half of the month, but advanced spoilers shared by the BBC suggest their happiness is “short-lived”.
Despite Eve’s initial hesitancies and their respective families’ judgemental inputs, the couple have now started the adoption process. While the storyline seems to have been put on the back burner over the last few weeks, EastEnders is now returning to it in episodes airing the week of 22-25 June.

Speaking on the new scenes, Eve star Heather Peace hoped that the storyline will “educated” people on the adoption application process.
“We’ve been filming a lot together over the past few months,” Peace said. “This is such an important storyline to tell, because it shows what a tricky process it can be.”
The actor continued: “Because Eve’s been to prison, I would just immediately think it’s off the table, and you’d never be able to adopt if you’ve been to prison.
“Hopefully this story educates people a little bit, and somebody might apply to adopt who wouldn’t have before.”

Monday 22 June – 8.30pm
Bea drives a wedge between Honey and Billy, the Fox-Truemans receive upsetting news, and Suki struggles with Vinny.
Tuesday 23 June – 7.30pm
Suki has a run-in with Nicola, and Billy pleads his case.
Wednesday 24 June – 7.30pm
The pressure mounts for Eve and Suki on the day of their adoption hearing. Phil gives Billy some words of advice.
Thursday 25 June – 7.30pm (8pm in Scotland)
Nicola and family celebrate half Christmas. Suki and Eve’s moment of happiness is short-lived.
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
